Summary, etc.: Pioneer woman: A homesteader whose husband tragically dies, forces her to make the difficult decision of whether she and her children can survive and prosper aline in the wilds of Wyoming after the Civil war. Seven alone: When the Sager family joins a wagon train traveling from Missouri to Oregon, the group is attaked by a party of unfriendly natives, resulting in the deaths of the seven children's parents. Despite the decision of the wagon train leaders that they should turn back the eldest child rallies his siblings, convincing them that they must go on and complete the journey their parents had started.
